Be part of an unforgettable two-day creative research festival of bold ideas, powerful performances, and creative innovation at the CARI UN/BOUND Festival 2026. 
 

Hosted by Griffith University’s Creative Arts Research Institute (CARI), UN/BOUND brings together artists, researchers, students, creatives, professionals, organisations, and communities for a dynamic program that challenges convention and sparks new ways of thinking, making, and connecting. 
 

UN/BOUND is a space to connect with others todevelop your professional practice, break disciplinary boundaries, ignite imagination, and accessthe latest creative practice led research and innovation. 
 

Expect a vibrant creative research inspired festival filled with: 
 

  • Immersive live performances 

  • Pop-up exhibitions 

  • Experimental screenings 

  • Hands-on professional development workshops and masterclasses 

  • In-depth conversations and panel discussions 

  • Research presentations 

  • Sector roundtables 

  • Creative community engagement and wellbeing activities 
     

Online and in person options to participate. Concession and early bird tickets are available, with the early bird promotion ending on Sunday 19 July. 

Fee Structure: 

 

  • Full Fee Participants Includes:  University, Corporate & Government staff. Salaried professionals and other standard-paying attendees.
  • Early Bird applies to all full fee-paying attendees paying before Sunday 19th July.
  • Concession Fee: Available to community members, not for profit organisations and unsalaried creative professionals.
  • CARI Member Fee: Applies to CARI core/adjunct/HDR members only.
  • VIPs & Unsalaried Presenters: Individuals who have received an invitation email or individual unsalaried artists who are presenting.
  • Griffith Undergraduate & Honours students can attend a limited number of selected sessions at no charge.

 

Refund Policy:

No refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of the event.  

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds incur a $10 administration fee payable to Griffith University.
