The course provides decision-makers with a concise, research-led overview of the rapidly evolving energy landscape. It examines current developments in energy pricing and tariffs, policy interventions, financial instruments, storage integration, price forecasting, system reliability, emissions outlooks, hydrogen, and the broader economic impacts of the electricity sector, supporting participants to make informed, forward-looking decisions in a complex policy and technology environment.

The Research Frontier in Energy Economics and Policy serves as a natural progression from the Environmental and Climate Economics, and Energy Economics executive courses, deepening participants’ understanding of global environmental and energy challenges while extending their application of advanced economic tools to contemporary policy and market questions.
